Online Safety The Internet is an increasingly important element in 21st century life for education, business and social interaction. Our aim is to ensure that each and every pupil knows how to be a good, safe digital citizen. We want all our pupils to embrace mobile devices and have fun discovering everything the Internet has to offer – safely. Teenagers have a way of being one-step-ahead with technology so it is our job to make them stop and think about what they are doing. Many students have 24 hour access to the Internet and with new technology always just around the corner this will not change any time soon. We don’t believe in completely filtering the Internet. We want to educate students on what is acceptable and how not to be vulnerable online. Please look at the additional information below for just a few of the many websites that support parents in educating their children to make the right choices. We also have a wealth of factsheets and useful information to help you remain informed and able to keep your children safe online.Useful Links for ParentseSafety - Think U Know www.thinkuknow.co.ukeSafety - NSPCC advice www.nspcc.org.ukeSafety - Safe Network advice www.safenetwork.org.ukFree Online Safety Course for Parents & CarersThis is a link to a FREE Online Safety Course for parents and carers - the course has been developed by Safeguarding experts and is presented by Myleene Klass.
