Welcome to Forest Way

We are delighted to welcome you to Forest Way School - a vibrant, caring and nurturing community where every child and young person is supported to grow, communicate and succeed.

As Heads of Primary and Secondary, we are incredibly proud to lead a school that puts pupil voice, wellbeing and personal development at the heart of everything we do. Our simple vision for every single student is for them to ‘Thrive at Forest Way’. We focus on the holistic needs of our young people, removing barriers to learning in an inclusive, total communication environment so that every individual feels safe, understood, happy and confident.

Our curriculum is rich with meaningful, hands-on learning tailored around individual EHCP outcomes, with preparing for adulthood at its core. We are immensely proud the breadth of curriculum we offer, which gives students across every year group regular opportunities to grow in confidence, independence and resilience. Our flexible pathway curriculum ensures every pupil thrives at their own level, from early exploration in our Curiosity Curriculum, to immersive multi-sensory and creative arts learning, through to Duke of Edinburgh expeditions and practical vocational opportunities like our Amazon internship, we celebrate all achievements for our young people.

Above all, we believe that education is a shared journey. You know your child best, and strong partnerships with our families are what make our school community so special. Whether we are connecting through Stay and Play sessions, coming together for Friends & Family events, or navigating important transition points together, we value your involvement every step of the way.

We warmly welcome you to Forest Way School and look forward to working together to support your child’s growth, self-confidence, and long-term independence.
