Our School Direct – Initial Teacher Training programme places trainee teachers in the classroom from day one working alongside experienced teachers to learn the skills of teaching “on the job.
We have been running our successful programmes for over 10 years and have seen fantastic results along the way with our trainees all securing teaching jobs after completion of their PGCE training year.

Forest Way Alliance is based in the North West Leicestershire area and our School Direct accredited providers are University of Derby, University of Leicester and Loughborough University.
School Direct placements will be with one of the primary or secondary schools within the North West Leicestershire area - see Alliance Partners page for a list of our partner schools.
